Timing and community consultation process
Consultation with the New Plymouth community is critical to the success of the Gasbridge project. It is important that New Plymouth residents understand fully the need for the project, why New Plymouth has been selected as the preferred site and the full facts around the safety of LNG.
Gasbridge is conducting extensive consultation with the entire New Plymouth community and every interested individual and party has the opportunity to have their views heard. People from New Plymouth and elsewhere in New Zealand who wish to have their say can also use this website to do so.
A resource consent application will be filed for a LNG terminal and supporting infrastructure at Port Taranaki. Again, a resource consent for this proposal only preserves the option in case it is needed in the future.
